Several of us had hired a cab in Ballyliffin just as it started to rain, and we were racing the weather up the winding road to the car park on Malin Head for a late afternoon view of Bodega Bay and the Innishoen Peninsula. But by the time we got there, it was raining so hard we couldn't get out of the car and the visibility was near zero. Still, there were signs: a bit of brightening appeared in the western sky, the pelting rain eased just a bit. Let's wait a few minutes and see. And sure enough, almost as if on command, the sun burst through and the fog lifted. This is what we saw. This painting was accepted into the juried "12th Annual All–Florida Exhibition" at the Cornell Museum at Old School Square in Delray Beach.
